MILLER BATHROOM

RESIDENTIAL BATHROOM TRANSFORMATION

A fun and eclectic bathroom that's inspired by the sky and mountains.

Outdated and cramped, this late 80s bathroom was due for a major overhaul. Our client sought a complete transformation, longing for a spacious shower, easier maintenance and a touch of fun. As an avid alpine enthusiast, he envisioned a bathroom that would evoke the uplifting, refreshing feeling of being surrounded by mountains and sky.

The original layout consisted of two separate rooms with individual doors leading to a cumbersome landing area, wasting valuable space. The toilet, narrow and cramped, stood in stark contrast to the small, sunken shower. The disjointed arrangement of the vanity and mirror only added to the impracticality of the space. Tired of scrubbing grout lines and longing for a comfortable bath, he was eager for a change.

Drawing inspiration from his outdoor adventures, the bathroom renovation embraces a colour palette reminiscent of clear blue skies and mountain vistas. Easy-to-clean blue wall tiles complement brushed brass fittings, warm wood accents and grey terrazzo-look floor tiles. Crisp white surfaces and strategically placed windows flood the room with natural light, creating an airy and uplifting atmosphere.

By removing the dividing wall and realigning the door, we gained valuable square footage and improved flow between the spaces. Moving the vanity and bath plumbing allowed for a more functional layout, enhancing the sense of openness. The addition of a larger shower and bath, adorned with uplifting feature tiles, adds to the overall ambience, while the expanded window above the bath invites in even more light and scenery.

The result? A transformative bathroom that not only meets our client's practical needs but also transports him to his beloved mountain retreats with every visit.
