ISABELLA’S HERITAGE EXTERIOR

A bold transformation of a historic residence.

Those with a keen eye might recognise Isabella's of Beechworth, the 1870’s five bedroom Victorian homestead, restored by Britt White Studio back in 2022. Originally utilising our Interior Design & Property Styling services to restore the beauty of the heritage home’s architecture and offer AirBnB guests an opulent stay, the client engaged us via our Colour Consultation service to bring new life to the creamy peach exterior, which now lacked the charm and grace of the interior.  Presented with three bespoke exterior paint concepts, all of which matched the client's summer/spring personality whilst working harmoniously with the first round of renovations, a bold decision was made with the choice of a 'soft pink' colour scheme. 

Elegant yet graceful, the Dulux Pink Marble paint colour chosen for the exterior walls, also instils a sense of playful cheek. Paired with Dulux White on White windows and trim, and a Monument front door, the house presents as welcoming and friendly. Standing out in a sometimes cluttered AirBnB short-term holiday rental market, the final paint specification is both proud and sympathetic to its heritage, whilst exuding a sense of fun for potential holidaymakers, craving spontaneity and simple outdoor fun.

With a prominent frontage on High Street and a decorated heritage, any exterior alterations were expected to be the talk of the town amongst discerning locals. Britt White Studio, in addition to developing and specifying the final paint concept, worked in lockstep with Heritage Officers at Indigo Shire Council, to ensure maximum impact whilst complying with strict guidelines. The final spec was incredibly detailed, paying homage to the original features of the house.

Affectionately referred to as ‘The Pink House’, the end result is nothing short of transformational with Isabella’s being on the lips of locals and visitors alike, for all the right reasons.
